Tubular Chaperon

A red woollen chaperon with black lining

This particular chaperon is less complex than many, it does not include a fancy liripipe or bourrelet.

This harkens back to the chaperon's origin, a rolled-up hood.

Basically in this case a tube of fabric with the same diameter as the head with the bottom rolled up exposing the different colour lining to form the brim/headband.

Large Hood

This hood comes with a large mantle to cover the shoulders

Button up although could take it on and off fully buttoned should you wish

Cotton lined

A very warm spacious hood

This hood was donated by a friend downsizing their kit.

Not a cat in a hat

The hat the cat wore in Dr. Seuss children's book

This novelty hat ended up with me when a friend was having a clearout of their fancy dress kit.

Made from foam-like fabric and wire around the brim, it keeps its shape well

Christmas Pudding Hat

 Christmas Pudding Novelty Hat

Unlike the Novelty Christmas hat posted last week, this one is much better

Being better probably has more to do with its simple shape, which makes ok to wear and allows my head to form the pudding shape.

People also recognise it as a Christmas pud, and if not it says Merry Christmas on the front so people still get it.

Ho Ho Ho, merry Christmas

Brussel Sprout Hat

This is a Novelty Brussel Sprout Hat

A gift from Christmas last year

Novelty hats are always cheap and throw-away quality, they are fun for about a minute so don't want much, something people will recognise and something that stays on your head and in shape.

This hat failed, most people needed to be told it was a brussel sprout and it also needs a bit of pulling to stay in shape.

As was a gift no idea if this was cheap, I mean  £2 or £3 pounds, £5 would be way too much.

A Military Beret

A friend used this beret as part of a Royal Air Force costume before being passed on to me.

The hat badge says RA which could be Royal Artillery not R.A.F., however, I can't seem to find a clear answer.

The nearest I can find is WW1 badge
