Camo Ushanka

This camo pattern ushanka is probably a perfect hunting hat, however never been hunting so could be worst hunting hat ever for all I know.

Also for some reason the double ear flaps I find make this hat a little comical, but they may have a purpose, perhaps to protect the ears for the noise of the gun or just extra ear warmth.

Sheepskin Hat

This trapper style hat is made of sheepskin, ideal to keep your head warm on a cold windy day

I've talked about trapper hats before and so don't have a lot more to say, so just follow the labels for trapper hat.

Ushanka

Ushanka comes from a Russian word meaning ears.

This fur-lined cap comes with fold-down ear flaps that can be tied up to the crown of the cap, or fastened under the chin to protect the ears lower face from the cold.

The Ushanka cap or hat is winter wear worn any from the USA to Russia but is very popular with Soviet naval officers

Traditionally made from rabbit or sheepskin and used in all sorts of extreme cold climates

This could also be called a trapper hat, but a trapper hat is not necessarily fur lined or designed for extreme cold.

This hat is a tourist variety with cheap soviet style badge and artificial fur but is still a practical hat that not just novelty wear.

Oops I bought a new hat

So I was walking around a charity shop looking for a old leather coat to cut up when I spotted a hat, so over the last 2 weekends of not looking for a hat we have leather coats found 0, hats found 2.

This cap is suede with a artificial fur lining. I would call it a hunting cap
