Popey McPope Face

This religious looking hat was probably made for a theatre production.

A good prop, made of fabric, rope, gold-coloured thread and adorned with fake gemstones it makes the perfect hat for someone important in religion.

This hat is part of our group's crew kit, so not actually mine, its been around a quite a few years perhaps 20 plus, in the image below one of the crew members, wears it to play a cardinal.

Oh no not another baseball cap

The baseball cap, probably the most common modern hat after the beanie

I only have half a dozen, some really good ones, most like this holiday memorabilia.

Foam Fantasy Helmet

This helmet is pure fantasy.

Made from foam glued together, cut, shaped and eventually covered in latex.

It has many elements from a greek hoplite's plumed helmet, but the rest are creative additions by the maker to give a striking look.

This fantasy helmet as been part of Ascendancy LRP kit for a while, not sure what it was made for or when it was made.

Preacher Hat

This style of hat is sold as a Priests, Preachers, Padres or Amish Hat.

A black felt round crown hat with a 4" wide brim slightly turned up and black ribbon hatband.

Associated with preachers in wild west movies

Most of the hats of this style on eBay you will find are cheap cardboard/permafelt designed solely for fancy dress, this one, however, is a proper quality felted hat.

Nothing wrong with a cheap hat by the way I buy them, they are useful for a quick Halloween outfit

Worn here with a dutch coat

Tyrolean Hat

This is a wool felt Tyrolean Hat

I have posted information about this style of hat before, so won't go over it again other than to say the name Tyrolean hat comes from Tyrol a region in Austria

Can also be known as a Sepplhut
Although Sepplhut can also be taller, pointier and have wider brims, the distinctive feature of Sepplhut seems to be wool felting and the cord around the base of the crown

A Christmas gift
