This is a Copy of a Corinthian helmet that was used from 8thC BC to 1stC AD  The helmet was worn by Greek Hoplites (Greek Citizen Soldiers) ...

Now I'm not sure this helmet as a real historical equivalent at all, although did find a few images of turbans wrapped around helmets....
